Shri Ganesh’s only temple with the human face
Adi Vinayak Temple, located in Tamilnadu’s Tiltarapanpuri (Kootunoor), where the face of God Ganesha is in the form of human being. To this day all of us have seen and heard only the Shri Ganesha with elephant head.
But the Adi Vinayak Temple in South India there is an exception.
This is the only temple in the world where Lord Ganesha idol has been transformed into a human form and not in elephant form.
Apart from the only human form of Shri Ganesha, this temple is another well-known fact that Adi Vinayak Temple is also the only Ganesh temple where people come to worship the ancestors for peace.
This is because, according to the old belief, Lord Shriram worshipped in this temple for the peace of his ancestors. And due to this many devotees come to worship here for the peace of their ancestors.
Generally, the method of renunciation is done on the banks of the rivers for patrodhusha, but due to the beauty of this temple, the name of this place has become Tilantaranpuri. Due to this temple, people come here from far and away to worship their ancestors.
Tiltarapanpuri is about 2 Kms from Kuttner in Tamil Nadu, the Adi Vinayak Temple of Lord Ganesha is situated. In this temple, there is also a temple of Lord Shiva along with the Ganesh idol in human form.
